Weather-permitting, try your hand at kite flying, a favorite pastime for the Chinese. Back onboard, your ship continues its upstream journey through lovely Wu Gorge and into Qutang Gorge - the narrowest and some say most spectacular of the Three Gorges. Later, the Victoria Anna will stop in the town of Fengjie. With 2,000 years of history, this now-bustling river port offers a fascinating place to disembark and explore on your own. Or you can join an available excursion to White Emperor City. With a scenic location on the north bank of the river, close by the entrance to Qutang Gorge, this ancient city is home to centuries-old temples and pavilions which have long inspired poets and would-be rulers with their magnificent views.
