China Visa Application Instructions
Tourist Visas: The following documents are required:--
a) One completed application form
b) Two recent 2" x 2" passport photos
c) A valid passport with available blank pages for visa
d) For travel to Tibet, please obtain approval from the Tourist Bureau
of Tibet before applying for a visa
Visa fees for US passport holders: Single-entry $50, two-entry $75, multi-entry for 6 months $100, multi-entry for 12 months $150 cash or money-order.
Allow enough time:
Submit in person -- 15 days before departure.
Submit by mail -- 30 days before departure. There is no rush service
via mail. Please include a self-addressed pre paid express mail laber
and envelope must be enclosed, plus a handling fee of $5. Do not enclose
certified or registered return mail envelope. The Chinese Consulate
shall not be responsible for any possible mishandling of the mail by any delivery
agents.
