Som Tam (Papaya Salad)
Thai Recipe
Ingredients:
1.5 cups coarsely grated unripe papaya (substitute carrots)
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 tsp. grated lime rind
1 tblsp. ground dried shrimp
1 tblsp. fish sauce
1 tsp. sugar
2 tblsp. lime juice
2 - 3 chilies, chopped
Mix all the ingredients together. Season with fish sauce, lime juice and suger to taste. Sprinkle with ground dried shrimps and chopped chilies. Serve with roast chicken and steamed glutimous rice. Makes 4 servings.
