Day 1, Tue. DEPART USA.
Board your overnight flight to Fiji.
Day 2, Wed. EN ROUTE.
Cross the International Dateline.
Day 3, Thu. ARRIVE NADI, FIJI.
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Take advantage of all your resort has to offer, including beach activities, water sports, a swimming pool and tennis.
Day 4, Fri. FIJI SIGHTSEEING.
Join an included excursion to a beautiful waterfall. Your guide will entertain and delight you with fascinating, mystical lore about plant medicines, ancient practices, history and traditional folk tales. This is an excellent chance to experience modern Fijian lifestyles combined with ancient traditional customs. The waterfall cascades into a shallow swimming lagoon, so don't forget to bring a swimming suit. You'll enjoy a barbecue lunch on your tour. (B,L)
Day 5, Sat. NADI / BOARD YOUR CRUISE.
Transfer to the MV Reef Escape and set sail for Captain Cook's private Tivua Island. There is time for a swim or snorkeling before joining your fellow travel mates at a welcome reception hosted by your captain. (B,D)
Day 6, Sun. CRUISING.
Cruise to lovely Sacred Island this morning. Legend has it that the first Fijians landed here. Upon arrival, your crew will pay tribute to the forefathers of Fijian culture with a Sevusevu (gift giving) Ceremony. Afterwards, relax on the beach, swim in the lagoon, snorkel the spectacular coral gardens, or view the colorful fish and coral from a glass bottom boat. Late this afternoon, sail to Nalauwaki Bay for a special village choral service. (B,L,D)
Day 7, Mon. CRUISING.
Head to the Waya Islands, a tropical paradise surrounded by towering volcanic peaks and palm fringed beaches. Enjoy a morning of swimming, snorkeling, exploring or sun-bathing. You'll set sail in the late afternoon to experience Fijian culture at a local handicraft and shell market. Tonight, bid farewell to the beautiful Fijian Islands at a lovo feast with kava tasting and meke (dance) entertainment. (B,L,D)
Day 8, Tue. CRUISING / NADI / FLIGHT HOME.
Your cruise ends this morning, as the MV Reef Escape returns to Denarau Marina. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Sheraton Royal Denarau, where a day room has been reserved. The balance of the day is free. Later this evening, transfer to Nadi Airport. Enjoy access to the VIP lounge and all its amenities before your return flight. Extra nights in Fiji are available for those wishing to extend their vacation. (B)
